Celina began her flamenco studies with Rosario Ancer at Centro Flamenco. While studying there, she was invited to join the professional training program which she continued for two years. Since then she has lived in Japan and Spain, where she acquainted herself further with the art form under a variety of local and legendary maestros including Juana Amaya and Andres Pena. The more she delved into the complexities of flamenco, the more intensely she felt the need to make it a larger part of her life. Recently, she has returned to Vancouver where she performs regularly with the group La Triana and occasionally with other local flamenco groups.
