Maria Avila - Voice and Percussion
Maria Avila has been involved in the art of flamenco for over a decade now. Abroad, she studied at Pro Arte school of dance in Queretaro, Mexico. Locally, she completed Centro Flamenco's professional two year program, trained with Karen Pitkethly, and with Mozaico Flamenco. She currently performs with La Triana, Flamenco Coast, and Mimbre Flamenco at venues such as La Zuppa, Kino Cafe, and Lime. From singing to dancing, to palmas, or even rhythms on the cajon, Maria is your well-rounded Vancouver flamenco performer.
